Projects

A distributed, embedded, database, scientific software solution in the form of a smart phone, tablet and desktop application towards the experiment's data management during experimentation on Desert Ants and other insects. It's a new and very simple to use smart phone application, which offers user friendly graphical interfaces for the experimental data manipulation, management and sharing. It manages the information about Ants, feeders and experiments. Moreover it expedites the experimentation process with fast, efficient and automatic ways of required information extraction and generation.
Along with managerial and database features, it also provide interfaces to estimate the Azimuth and Solar Time using Astronomical Algorithms. It performs approximate Solar calculations, following National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) methodologies (recommended), which includes: Equation of the Time, Time Offset, Hour Angle, Altitude, Sunrise, Sunset and Solar Noon etc.
