Projects

Its the most recent work; a distributed, embedded, database, real time scientific software solution towards the Field studies on arthropod ecology and behavior. It is a smart phone, tablet application which helps in monitoring of arthropods and managing the experimental data. Furthermore, it calculates different solar times and angles using the Astronomical Algorithms recommended by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) organization. It is well test application in the fields and the calculated solar results are approximately (99%) correct. It is an Android platform based application, programmed using Java, XML and SQLiteDatabase.

It is completely designed, developed and documented by the Dr. Zeeshan Ahmed at the Department of Neurobiology and Genetics, Biocenter, University of Wuerzburg Germany, in collaboration with the Department of  Bioinformatics and the Department of Behavioral Physiology and Sociobiology, Biocenter, University of Wuerzburg Germany. The research and development is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), Project: SFB-1047/Z.

  • My Responsibilities: Software Engineer (Implementation)
  • Description: This project is about to implement an intelligent software application capable of taking five dimensional dataset as input and produce 3D and 5D Visualizations by drawing graphs using rendering, texturing and transparency effects.
